Parental involvement
We welcome parental involvement in our school.
Statement of intent and key principles
* We work collaboratively with the Pittwater High School, parent and student community to support the wellbeing and learning outcomes for our children.
* We operate in a respectful, responsible and open manner and encourage new ideas.
* We take pride in what we do, aim to do it well, and have fun along the way.
* We are responsible for financially sustainable operations and transparent accounting for our decisions.
* We welcome and encourage all new members and are inclusive.
* We are volunteers offering our personal time to support our community.
This is not only important for creating a strong school spirit and assisting the school financially, but it is important for your children to know that you are participating in their school life. It also allows you to gain a better understanding of the school where they will spend most of their time.
What we do
Manage the school canteen/ Uniform Shop/ Lockers/ Band/ Advocate on school matters/ Consult with parent community/ Representation at P& C Federation Meetings/ Grant Applications and Fundraising/ Run events to engage/ Consultation with Student Represntative Council/ Advocacy on Diversity and Inclusion
Participation in parent activities at the school is always appreciated. We hope you will get involved in some way. Parents are offered many opportunities to assist with and participate in their children's education.
The P&C, together with its sub-committees, has been instrumental in providing a great deal of equipment and projects for the school. It is hoped that all parents will take an active interest in the affairs and functions of this association. It gives parents social opportunities and keeps them in touch with the school community.
Voluntary donation
The P&C contribution is a voluntary donation $95 from each family (no matter how many children attend the school) which the P&C put to use for the general good of the school as a whole. It is an important part of our income.
The P & C Annual Report for 2024 will be prepared throughout the year. At the P & C General Meetings an overview of revenue generating activities, costs and available funds to contribute back to school will be outlined by the Treasurer.
P&C Meetings are held week 5 of each term in the CLS ( in A block) at 7:00pm.
Volunteering
Volunteers are welcome as the numbers of parents helping the school increases the potential of all our children's learning outcomes. Please contact the President, Secretary, Canteen and Uniform Committee, Music Committee or Social Committee, for details visit names and contact details.
Music program
The Music program is run by the Music Committee.
