Technological and applied studies (TAS) is mandatory for all students in Year 7 and 8. Students can also select from a range of elective TAS subjects.
Technological and Applied Studies (TAS)
The TAS Faculty at Pittwater High School consists of a dynamic team and expert teachers who are skilled in a wide variety of subject areas. It offers a range of courses which are both practical and theoretical based.
In Years 7 and 8 all students study Technology (Mandatory). The following units are delivered:
- Timber and Graphics Technology
- Food and Agriculture Technology
- Textiles Technology
- Engineered Systems
Students also choose an elective course in year 8. The TAS faculty offers:

- Jewellery Design
