Pittwater High School is proud to offer ASPIRE, our High Potential and Gifted (HPG) Academic Class, for students commencing Year 7 in 2027.
The ASPIRE program is designed for students who demonstrate high academic potential and a passion for learning. Through enriched learning experiences, intellectual challenge and opportunities for extension, students will be supported to achieve their personal best.
Before You Apply
An enrolment at Pittwater High School for 2027 must be completed before submitting an ASPIRE application.

Part 1 – Your Learning Story
Tell us about a success or high-performance experience in one of the following subjects:
- English
- Mathematics
- Science
- History
- Geography
You may wish to explain how curiosity, creativity, persistence or resilience helped you achieve success.
Submissions can be:
- Written response (maximum 500 words)
- Visual presentation (maximum 5 slides)
- Audio recording (maximum 2 minutes)
We want to learn about you as a learner. You may include information about:
- Your love of intellectual challenge
- Your motivation to learn
- Your drive to achieve your personal best
Part 2 – HPGE Domains Statement
Write a statement (maximum 200 words) outlining which HPGE domain(s) you identify with most and explain why:
- Intellectual
- Creative
- Social-Emotional
- Physical
Part 3 – Supporting Evidence
Please attach:
- Year 5 Semester 2 School Report
- Year 5 NAPLAN Results
- ONE annotated work sample from Year 5 or Year 6
The work sample may be from school or an extracurricular activity and should demonstrate:
- Achievement
- Insightful understanding
- Problem-solving ability
- Creative or unique thinking
Students should annotate the sample by explaining the skills, achievements or thinking demonstrated in the work.
