Stories and highlights
There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.
A year at our school
On 24 February, our School Captains, Meredith and Austin, attended Purple Poppy Day at Pittwater RSL, representing Pittwater High School and accompanied by prefect coordinator Ms Colleen Lustig.
Purple Poppy Day honours the animals that have served alongside humans in conflicts, recognising their important and often overlooked role in wartime service. Our students represented the school with respect and dignity at this meaningful event.
During the service Austin movingly read the poem I Spoke To You In Whispers by Neil Andrew, contributing to the reflective tone of the commemoration. The captains also laid a wreath on behalf of the school, and attendees witnessed the release of homing pigeons as part of the ceremony.
The PHS Annual Swimming Carnival, held at Ku-ring-gai Fitness & Aquatic Centre, was a huge success! With high student participation, an incredible display of sportsmanship, and several records broken, it was a memorable day for everyone involved.
Students gave their all in the pool, cheering on their houses and teammates throughout the day. The energy and enthusiasm from competitors and supporters alike made for a fantastic atmosphere.
Congratulations to all swimmers who competed, and a special well done to those who broke records and achieved outstanding results. A strong team has now been selected to represent PHS at the upcoming Zone Swimming Carnival – we wish them the very best!
Ebony D of Year 10 attended the 15's NSWCHSSA Netball selections at Sydney Olympic Park yesterday and has been selected to represent NSW at the All Schools Trial in June.
Well done and Congratulations Ebony.
The PHS Fundraiser Colour Run was a fantastic day enjoyed by all!
Students, staff, and our amazing parent volunteers came together to make it such a fun and successful event. Thank you to everyone who participated, supported, and helped bring so much colour and energy to the day. What a great community effort!
I have been very pleased with the quality of education and support my child has received. The teachers are dedicated and genuinely care about the students success, which is evident in their engaging teaching methods and the time they take to address individual needs.” — a parent of Pittwater High School
